My first sighting was a male at Colebrook Lake North on the 11th. By the months end numbers had increased to ten birds, six males and four females.
Snipe and Common Gull numbers have risen despite water levels still remaining high.
Duck numbers haven't increased yet, but now that the colder weather is with us this may see a rise in their numbers, hopefully with a Goldeneye to spend the winter here.
A Great White Egret has visited the lakes on the odd occasion, but it doesn't stay long, tending to fly off after a few minutes and out of the area.
In general Moor Green has had a quiet month but hopefully things may change soon.
