June is traditionally the quiet time for birding as breeding birds go about their business of rearing their young. Juveniles can be seen with parents through June but then suddenly disappear into the green thick canopies of trees and dense bushes.
My garden has been very quiet apart from the pair of House Sparrows that successfully reared a single juvenile, which fledged in the middle of the month. the only other visitors to the garden have been Blackbirds, Collared Doves and the occasional Jay.
With most of the Covid 19 restrictions due to be lifted on July 19th, I am looking forward to getting out for some proper birding and some decent photos.
